Michael Wiles, President

Michael has provided strategic advice and senior level management in numerous residential country club and resort real estate communities nationally and internationally. As a real estate developer and broker with over 25 years’ experience of leading successful land planning, product development, marketing and sales and vacation leasing programs his sales teams have recorded over $1 Billion of sales and managed vacation rental programs with over 300 rental homes. Mr. Wiles was also the lead marketing consultant who created the successful tourism marketing campaign “Smiling Faces and Beautiful Places” for the State of South Carolina.

James Wanless, Senior Associate

Jim is one of the leading club and membership developers and marketers in the world. As an attorney, Jim has created, restructured and implemented membership programs at the finest clubs throughout the United States and the Caribbean.

Jim was a partner in the law firm of Gunster, Yoakley in Palm Beach Florida before becoming a founding partner in Hillier and Wanless a law firm with a national practice representing clubs, residential and resort developers, owners and operators. 

Charles W. Pigg, Senior Associate

Chuck has over 35 years of experience in the planning, development and management of resort and lifestyle communities. He has extensive expertise in feasibility analysis, acquisition, product concept planning, permitting, construction and management of many award winning communities throughout the southeastern United States. As a Senior Executive and former Vice President of Real Estate for Greenwood Communities and Resorts, he has successfully spearheaded such properties as Palmetto Dunes Resort, Shelter Cove Marina and Palmetto Hall on Hilton Head Island; Coosaw Creek Club, Beresford Hall and The Ponds in Charleston, SC, and The Reserve at Lake Keowee in upstate South Carolina.

In addition to leading these projects, Chuck has overseen the development of over 1000 resort condominium units and amenities throughout the southeast and managed extensive resort vacation rental and real estate brokerage operations.  Chuck is a member of the Urban Land Institute and has received the Order of the Palmetto and the Charles E. Fraser Award. He is also the Past Chairman of the Hilton Head Island Chamber of Commerce


Thomas Wiles, Chief Financial Officer

Thomas has spent most of his 30 year career on Wall Street within the Mortgage Finance Industry as well as the Debt Capital Markets.  As a Managing Director at both Bear Stearns & Co. and JPMorgan Securities Inc., Thomas was extensively involved in all aspects of housing finance including origination, credit due diligence, underwriting, warehouse lending, risk based pricing and securitization.  Thomas’ broad experience in the nation’s housing market, beginning with a tenure at both Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, make him uniquely qualified to spearhead the capital funding activities of the company.

Jim Truckenbrod, Chief Operating Officer

Jim is a hospitality and development professional with a broad background and expertise in planning, development, financing and construction as well as managing the ongoing operations of various integrated resorts, clubs, and real estate communities. He brings a strong disciplined, mission-based, strategic perspective to every project, with continuous focus on the goals and objectives of all stakeholders.

Mr. Truckenbrod has held positions as General Manager, Chief Financial Officer, VP Finance at Keystone Resort in Keystone, Colorado; Barton Creek Resort & Clubs in Austin, Texas; Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Florida and Mountain Air Country Club in Asheville, North Carolina.


Thomas Wicky, Senior Associate

Tom is a seasoned hotelier with more than 30 years of management experience in luxury resort properties. At three separate properties he earned or regained the coveted Mobil 5-Star or the AAA 5- Diamond awards, Boca Raton Resort & Club, Breakers in Palm Beach and Hotel Intercontinental in Hilton Head, South Carolina. Other resorts and clubs which Mr. Wicky has lead include, Cloister Hotel at Sea Island, Georgia and Fisher Island in Miami, Florida.

Robert Giesen, Senior Associate

Bob is a recognized national expert specializing in golf, resort and leisure services with a special emphasis on club related membership programs, organizations and restructurings. Previously, Mr. Giesen practiced law at the prestigious New York law firm of Dewey Ballantine.  Mr. Giesen is a Full Member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and a member of the Florida Bar.
